Professional Activity and Scientific Work

  • Since 2000/2001: Executive Director of the Democracy Centre Vienna
  • From 2005 to 2009: Deputy Director of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for European History and Public Spheres
  • Since 1997: Founded the Forum Politische Bildung, Editor of the „Informationen zur Politischen Bildung“ (Civic Education).
  • 1996/1997: Scientific Researcher and Co-Organiser for the Third Austrian Contemporary History Days at the Institute for Contemporary History, Vienna
  • 1990 to 1996: Employed by the publisher Jugend & Volk (Scientific Program)
  • 1988 to 1989: Researcher at the Documentation Centre of Austrian Resistance
  • 1987 to 1990: Numerous scientific projects, scientific researcher, Co-organiser of the exhibition „Wer wählt, gewinnt? 70 Jahre Frauenwahlrecht“ im WUK (1989); Curator of the touring exhibition “Migration on Tour” (2010ff); Editor of publications, concepts of conferences, symposiums, expert round-tables etc.
